LIST OF HEALTH BEE

The "Bee Sanitary Agents (ASA), also known as Bee Specialists are not controllers, but beekeepers have been trained to help their fellow beekeepers in cases of suspected disease or other health problem and to advise them in their beekeeping practices for better health of the colonies.
They are approved by the Departmental Direction of Veterinary Services to intervene in apiaries in case of discovery of disease recognized as contagious. Each SAA has an area defined by prefectural order. All tours are conducted under the supervision of GDSA, our veterinary advice (Drs David Alexander and Philip Michon, veterinary Charleville) and the Directorate Veterinary Services.

They can meet you either:
  • your request if you have a problem of health [abnormal mortality, suspicion of disease (AFB)],
  • either within the PES (Plan Livestock health) for which the visits are needed for the validation of this document required that can control our GDSA strips against varroa.
If an SAA contacts you meet in the PSE, remember that it does not make an inspection of your hives, but that his visit can make a finding of the state health department . He gives his time, accept it as it should, and do not hesitate to ask for advice.
